Good skin care routine is essential for great skin. Over the years I struggled to find the perfect skin care routine for my self as i have mentioned before in previous blogs i did suffer from acne. Many products that I use do contain salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and retinol to prevent future breakouts. If you are someone who does suffer from mild to moderate acne finding those ingridents in face washers can help, as Salicylic acid & Benzoyl peroxide are anti-inflammatory, while Retinol stimulates collagen growth. Always cleanse your face daily. If your going out and know you’ll be home late, always make sure to carry makeup remover wipes with you. You dont ever want to sleep with your makeup on, as it can clog pores and create breakouts. Using a silk pilliow can also improve skin with fine lines and the apperance of wrinkles over time. Do make sure you wash your pilliow case every other day as bacteria and natural oils from your face can reintrouduce to your face and this is hazardous for acne suffers.
Over the years ive learned to read product labels and get informed about certain ingridents that you want to stay away, specially any product containing ALCOHOL. Alcohol eliminates all of your natural oils from your face, which can lead to a break outs. Over washing your face is not good either, its beneficial to have oils on your face and when you wipe these oils off you’re stripping off natural oils and eventually dehydrating your skin. Moisturizer is as important at night, find one that is suited for your skin type as the skin’s permeability (absorbation) works better at rest. Last but not least, make sure to rest well at the end of your day. Beauty sleep is essential for great skin, as when you sleep your body brings more blood flow to your skin which creates such a healthy glow.
